Rachel & Josh-Morris Arboretum Engagement

It feels like forever ago that I photographed these two at Morris Arboretum! I know that their October wedding is going to be here before I know it though! Rachel and Josh picked out their engagement session location all on their own! I had photographed a wedding here once before, but never got to really explore what the arboretum had to offer.

“We chose Morris Arboretum because we have a love for nature and doing things outside. After researching, we loved that Morris Arboretum also provided many different unique settings for a diverse collection of engagement pictures. One of the most important reasons is that we love to travel together and create new memories and experiences. Since neither of us have ever been to Morris Arboretum, we felt that it would be another beautiful opportunity to create a new memory together. ”

These two actually went to college together, and ran track but never got to know each other until their coach put them together to video tape their teammates during the meet. “Up until that point we were both on the team but had not actually met because we competed in different events. For the rest of that day, we spent time together joking, video taping, and really enjoying each other’s company. Immediately we could both tell there was a connection and that connection lead us to become best friends. ”

Rachel and Josh love to travel together, and it’s only fitting that they got engaged on one of their adventures. They were in Stowe VT, hiking along the “quiet trail” with a view of Mount Mansfield. They stopped at a picnic table and that’s where they got engaged! They now revisit that exact table every year together, which I think is the best tradition.

In October I’ll be photographing these two making it official at Pump House BNB where they’ll be surrounded by love and support from their closest family and friends! I love asking each of them what they’re most excited for when it comes to the wedding. Rachel says, “I am most excited about celebrating our love for one another with our family and closest friends. ” Josh says, “I am most excited to create and put on an event for our family and friends to show truly who Rachel and I are as a couple and that exemplifies our love for each other. ” I’m definitely counting down the days until these two tie the knot! It’s going to be such a great day!
