Tyler&Kaitie-Nashville Backyard Picnic

I know, I know…It’s been a few months since Nashville and I’m JUST getting to writing this post about Kaitie and Tyler…I’ve just had so many different things to blog about in my queue, but I’m so excited that I’ve finally caught up to this post!

Mark and I took a trip down to Nashville this summer and stayed in an Airbnb that had the best hosts. Mark encouraged me to reach out and see if they’d want to be photographed! I was so excited when Kaitie said yes! We decided on a picnic in the back of Tyler’s truck at their own home. Their two pups joined them as Kaitie and Tyler enjoyed each other’s company while snacking.

The two of them aren’t Nashville natives…which I found to be pretty common there! Almost everyone is from a different state and moved to the beautiful city! Kaitie and Tyler are from California and have known each other since Kaitie was 15 and Tyler was 21! She said that Tyler was in a band with a guy she had a crush on, and Tyler actually gave her guy advice! Things never worked out with the other guy and her and Tyler reconnected on good old MySpace a few years later!

After being together for 9 years, There are so many things that they know about each other and love about each other. Kaitie said that “My favorite thing about Tyler is how loving, patient and forgiving he is. Three things he has passed on to me over the years and I am forever grateful. I’ve always been a little bit on the rougher side and he has softened me up quite a bit and taught me so much about love.” Tyler said “My favorite thing about Kaitie is how much she loves me. I can see it in the way she looks at me. I love her eyes and how they can tell me exactly what she is feeling.”

I’m so happy I got to photograph these two together. Their love is contagious and I couldn’t help but notice how in love they are. You’d think they were newlyweds and not married for over 7 years! Kaitie and Tyler, you two are the best, thank you for letting me capture your love in your cozy little home with your fur babies (and the chickens!) Hopefully we get to see you again this summer!
