Autumn Adventure-Styled Shoot

FINALLY blogging this styled shoot. I feel like every blog post recently has started off with me saying that I’m “finally blogging it”…but it’s true! I’m so excited to share this post. I’m publishing it on International women’s day and I guess it’s a happy coincidence! My favorite lady, and hair and makeup artist, Molly’s Tanzillo (@mollys_chair) and I, put together this styled shoot. Sometime’s it’s hard to find vendors who are available when you are, and I just love styling sets and doing little DIY projects, so this was a fun little shoot that we put together!

Molly and I made the bouquet, boutonniere and flower arrangements all ourselves with flowers we found at the local markets as well as greenery from around my parent’s backyard! The ceremony set up, as well as the sweetheart table were set up at my parent’s house where most of my shoots go down! The second half of the shoot took place on a random road close to Newtown Pa. Every season this road looks different, I’ve shot in it when there was corn lining one side as well as little straw like bits growing on the other. I just love this location and it’s versatile looks that it can bring to a session!

Michaela and Andrew modeled for me and did amazing per usual. Michaela wore a vintage crocheted midi length dress that I had thrifting years ago and just finally put to good use. I thought it was a cute alternative to a floor length gown, and made this little “Elopement” style session more casual. Andrew’s outfit was something I put together from Old Navy and Target. I loved the floral pattern on the shirt as well as the rust color that came from the pants. The pants are one of my favorite colors and honestly one of the first things I purchased when I thought of doing this shoot!

My best friend, Maggie, (@maggiemmartin) obviously had to be apart of this shoot in some way. She hand wrote Mr. and Mrs. on these marble slabs with gold ink to mark the Bride and Groom’s places at the table!

Molly of course did the hair and makeup for this shoot and made Michaela look so effortless. She decided to do a half up half down look so that we could have some braid action in there while still making the hair look casual and not too formal. With the makeup, she kept it very simple and glowy. Neutral tones on the lids and a little bit of glow on the cheekbones to make Michaela’s natural beauty stand out!

If you made it this far, thanks for checking it out!! Molly and I loved doing this shoot and all of the planning really worked out for the best!!

Check out these lovely people!
