Hope & Joe-Winter Engagement

Where do I begin with this session?! The beautiful lady in these images is one of my good friends and fellow wedding photographer Hope. She’s getting married to her man, Joe, in upstate New York this summer, and I had the privilege to take their engagement photos! I can’t wait for their wedding because it’s going to be my first wedding as an actual guest since I was a flower girl when I was like 8!

Hope had a vision when she asked me to do her engagement session. She wanted warm tones and a session full of adventure and uniqueness. She got her favorite ladies to do her hair and makeup, and one of her favorite florist friends to create a bouquet for the session. We walked through Tyler State Park at sunset and adventured to the dam down one of the paths.

We ended the outside portion of the session with some glowy golden sunset portraits of the two of them snuggled up. We all couldn’t feel our hands by the end of the session, but it was definitely worth freezing to get these shots!

The final portion of their session took place in my parent’s stone farmhouse. I’ve shot tons of boudoir sessions here, but never a couple. We headed up into the attic and I photographed the two of them with just the candlelight. These images are probably my favorite from the entire session. They’re so different and unique than any other engagement session I’ve done. I’m so happy Hope suggested to do some indoor shots because these definitely made their session so special!

Thank you so much Hope and Joe for trusting me with your vision! I can’t wait for your wedding day!! It’s going to be so magical!
